Product Application
Catechol (CAS No. 120-80-9) is widely used as a chemical intermediate, especially in the manufacture of rubber additives and fragrance-related compounds.
In pharmaceuticals, it functions as an intermediate for drug synthesis and is used in some local anesthetic formulations. It is also applied in pesticide production, electroplating processes, and analytical chemistry for metal ion detection and analysis.
