Product Description
Cinnamic aldehyde is commonly used as a flavoring and fragrance ingredient in products such as soft drinks, ice cream, toothpaste, baked goods, and chewing gum. It may induce contact urticaria and delayed hypersensitivity reactions, and in some cases is linked to contact dermatitis, especially among workers in the perfume and food industries. It is also included as a component of the standard fragrance mix used in testing.

Product Application
Cinnamic aldehyde is widely used as a fragrance ingredient in household products such as air fresheners, detergents, and soaps. It also functions as a flavoring agent in toothpaste, confectionery, ice cream, soft drinks, chewing gum, and baked goods.
It is naturally found in cinnamon and is also present in balsam of Tolu and Peru, hyacinth, various spices, and cinnamon oils including Ceylon and cassia oil. In perfumery, it is used in formulations such as Canoe-type, hyacinth, bubblegum, balsamic, and cassia accords.
