Product Description of Polypropylene CAS#9003-07-0
Polypropylene (PP) is a high-molecular polymer synthesized from propylene monomers. Its production covers five main processes: solution, slurry, bulk, gas-phase, and combined bulk–gas-phase polymerization. By molecular structure, PP is divided into isotactic, syndiotactic and atactic forms, with isotactic PP accounting for over 90% of commercial applications.
Atactic PP is suitable for additives, adhesives and modifiers, and works as an efficient carrier for modified masterbatches due to its high viscosity, good flowability and excellent coating performance. Syndiotactic PP features clarity, toughness and flexibility, with roughly half the rigidity and hardness of isotactic PP; it can be vulcanized into elastomers with mechanical properties superior to conventional rubber.
Though high current costs restrict wider adoption, syndiotactic PP has strong development potential, seen as a promising growth segment for PP resins and an emerging synthetic resin for high-end material modification.

Product Application of Polypropylene CAS#9003-07-0
Polypropylene (PP) boasts excellent processability and can be shaped via multiple techniques into a wide variety of products. Injection-molded general-purpose PP is the mainstay material for everyday consumer goods. Both virgin and modified PP grades are widely used in automotive, home appliance and industrial sectors: toughened PP for automobile bumpers and wheel covers, and reinforced PP for dashboards, steering wheels, fan blades and handles.
